This fuel pump kit was designed specifically for the "Dirt Modified" cars. We attempted to address all of the needs and ideas we received from the leading Dirt Modified racers at last years PRI Trade Show. This fuel pump is of a cable driven design and can be driven by the power steering pump, the dry sump pump, or a belt drive kit. It has an internal bypass that will maintain constant pressure to the carburetor. A team should realize a minimum of 5000 miles of performance time before the fuel pump requires an inspection and or possible rebuild. The fuel pump location virtually eliminates the possibility of vapor loc which makes for easier re-firing of the engine. The fuel maintains a cooler temperature which any engine builder will confirm will make more and consistent horsepower. The fact that the fuel pump is mounted in the rear of the car means the fuel is now being pushed to the engine as opposed to being sucked to the front of the car against the G forces of acceleration. Engine removal is as simple as disconnecting 1 cable and 1 fuel line, making engine changes a snap. However, the most important feature of this system is SAFETY.
